England manager Gareth Southgate, who is in Russia with his side at the World Cup, has dislocated his right shoulder.
He told thefa.com: “It is better this is me than one of the players.
“They were a bit surprised in the team meeting and were asking ‘what have you been doing?’.
“As always, they were probably quite amused.”
Southgate suffered the injury during a scheduled day off from training at the tournament.
The manager, who punched the air in celebration as England beat Tunisia 2-1 on Monday evening, hurt his right shoulder while running near the team’s World Cup base in Repino, Russia.
