Destiny 2: How to Get the Ace of Spades in Forsaken

Ace of Spades is Cayde-6’s exotic hand cannon and a returning weapon from Destiny 1. You can get the Ace of Spades in Destiny 2 by completing Cayde’s Will Exotic Quest.

All players will get this Quest early on in the Forsaken campaign. According to the Ace of Spades lore, Cayde wanted to leave his possessions for whoever killed him.

  • Memento Mori: Intrinsic perk. Reloading after a kill loads magazine with a few extra damage bullets. Grants radar while aiming down sights.
  • Corkscrew Rifling: Range, stability, and handling speed is slightly increased.
  • High-Caliber Rounds: Shots from this weapon knock the target back farther. Range is slightly increased.
  • Firefly: Precision kills increases reload speed and causes targets to explode dealing Solar damage to nearby enemies.
  • Smooth Grip: Makes weapon easier to hold and aim.
  1. The first part of the Quest asks you to reclaim the Ace of Spades and avenge Cayde’s death by defeating Uldren Sov.
  2. In Gambit, you’ll need to kill 5 invaders with a hand cannon. Only 1 invader is allowed at a time, but this occurs a few times in each match. Remember, you need to kill players invading your side. If you go to the other side as the invader it does not count.
  3. This next step will tell you to get 250 hand cannon kills in Strikes. You can load into a low Power level strike from any world map instead of going to the Heroic Vanguard Strikes playlist. Strikes from the world map are at 200 Power, and Vanguard Strikes are at 400 Power.
  4. In Crucible, you’ll have to get 25 precision kills. This means that the shot that kills the opponent should be the headshot.
  1. This step is similar to the Scout Reports from Cayde-6 before Forsaken. There are a total of 4 Cayde’s Stash chests that you need to find for this next step.

Locations:

  • Tangled Shore: This one is in Hellrise Canyon which is on the left side of the Jetsam of Saturn area, near where the Hive ship splits in half. Run deep into the Canyon until you come across a crashed Fallen Ship.
  • Io: Head to The Wraith Mines. Once you enter, you’ll encounter a large drill hanging from above. Climb up the drill and look around on the rocks ahead for the chest.
  • Nessus: In the Sunken Cavern, there is a round wall with a beam of yellow light running along a ledge. Go towards the light and climb up the wall, the chest is hidden in the ledge.
  • European Dead Zone: After reaching Legion’s Anchor, from Sunken Isles, go to the second room. Right when you enter, there is a tank to the left and behind it is the chest. Also, pay attention to the “Cayde Stash Nearby” sign on the bottom left of your screen.
  1. Lastly, you’ll play a mission on Titan called the Ace in the Hole. There are 10 more chests to find here. In these chests, you’ll find voice notes from Cayde addressing different characters.
  2. Visit Banshee-44 at the Tower and get Ace of Spades.
